Bridgnorth

We have been here in our new Bridgnorth offices for several very busy weeks now and are delighted that we chosen this beautiful, historic town in which to grow our business.

We made the right move - and so can you! And perhaps it is this amazing town you might be considering for your new home?

So why Bridgnorth? Well, where do we start!

Bridgnorth is a medieval market town sited on two levels, High Town and Low Town connected by a funicular railway, and it grew from a small settlement visited by Vikings to a major river port and then into the stunningly attractive town it is today.

People love Bridgnorth for many reasons - its history, including a key involvement in the Civil War and a wealth of fascinating architecture, its River Severn location, its thriving cafe culture and its myriad of shops.

But there are also so many things to do if you want to play tourist in your own town! Have a picnic in the peaceful Castle Grounds, take a trip on the Severn Valley Railway (a popular film location) and the Cliff Railway, visit Bridgnorth Museum, follow the Bridgnorth Art Trail (12 model locomotives situated around the town) and after all this perhaps relax with a glass of wine at one of the riverside bars!

For theatre and music fans there is the Theatre on the Steps, which offers a varied programme of events throughout the year, and the annual Music and Arts Festival staged at venues around the town over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Sporting activities include angling (of course!), swimming and other activities at the Halo Leisure Centre, riding (there are several excellent riding centres within a few miles) and golf at Bridgnorth Golf Club - there is also an excellent Rugby Club and Rowing Club and Bridgnorth Town FC are based at the town’s Crown Meadow.

Although surrounded by rolling farmland, Bridgnorth is within easy travelling distance of Wolverhampton and Telford so commuters can easily make use of links to major road and rail networks.

Bridgnorth has something for everyone, from families (there are two secondary and four primary schools) to working commuters to people just looking for somewhere lovely in which to retire.

We would be really happy to tell you more - and also help you find your perfect Bridgnorth home so come along and see us!
